Word University in Ojai is the main location of our Free Festival on August 9, 10, and 11.

This little university was founded in 1974 by a great scholar and mystic named Benito Reyes.

 

Upon Benito's request, the famous Indian avatar, Sathya Sai Baba, agreed to be the Chancellor.  

World University in Ojai is the only school in the United States of America to hold this distinction.

 

Benito's son, Thor Reyes, M.D., is the current CEO and President.

 

With courses available onsite and online, the university offers MA degrees in Counseling (Marriage and Family), and also in Integral Psychology and Consciousness Studies.  BA completion studies are also offered.  (Please go to www.worldu.edu for more information.)

Sathya Sai Baba predicted that this little university would one day flower into a much bigger school and society which would help in the transformation of the entire society of America itself.

(As a side note, Benito Reyes was the founder and first president of a university in Manila, which is now the biggest  university in the Philippines.)
