Thor Reyes, M.D., is CEO and President of World University in Ojai.

 

A practicing psychiatrist, Thor not only conventionally treats his patients, but loves them wholeheartedly.

 

Thor is the son of Dr. Benito Reyes, the founder of World University in Ojai.

 

Thor will be the primary speaker during Sunday's ecumenical service.  The title of his talk is...

 

    Fulfilling the Vision of Benito Reyes and  Sathya Sai Baba

 

Thor is a courageous and intrepid man.  

 

He is a man of discrimination and spiritual discernment. 

 

Once he recognized that our Grassroots Movement 

was in alignment with the highest good for humanity 

and in alignement with the vision of his father, Benito Reyes,

he threw open the doors of his heart and mind and physical means

to fully support us. 

 

Thor's mission is to fulfill his father's vision.

 

To understand Thor and his mission, one must first know about

his father, Benito Reyes, and his vision.

Benito Reyes, in my opinion, is one of the great saints of modern times.

 

Benito was a great scholar, administrator, author, poet, humanitarian...... and a mystic who knew himself as spirit, beyond the body.  

 

Benito was founder and  first president of what has become the largest

university in the Philippines.

 

Benito founded  World University in Ojai in 1974.

 

Benito was an ardent follower of the life and teachings of Sathya Sai Baba.

 

Benito, asked Sai Baba to be the Chancellor of World University in Ojai, and Sai Baba gracefully accepted.  (no other school in the United States of America holds this distinction)

 

Benito had a dream of aquiring 500 acres of land in Ojai Valley,

to expand his little university into a more complete educational facility.

 

He planned to surround this facility with a thriving, ideal society

that would be a role model for our whole country and the world. 

 

Benito dreamed of peace in our nation and peace on earth.  He envisioned the Ojai Valley to be an ideal place to start to begin a slow, gentle, major reconfiguration of human society.

 

Sai Baba blessed Benito's vision and told him and other that it would come true.

After Benito's passing, Thor has been at the helm of World University in Ojai.  

 

Thor, also is a great believer in Sai Baba and his teachings.

"Papa Thor," as some call him, is a magnificent orator and singer.  His spiritual talks and singing, at monthly ecumenical services on the university campus, bring great joy to those of us who desire to be in tune with God and the "heartbeat of humanity."

 

Thor will be sharing and singing at various presentations during the Free Festival.
