Our entire Grassroots Movement (including the Free Ojai Festival in August)...

 

 is in honor of the vision of Benito Reyes.

 

Benito is the Founder of World University in Ojai.

 

He was a great scholar, administrator, humanitarian, author, poet and mystic.

 

He dreamed of helping to transform America and the world into one big happy and peaceful society.

 

He planned to transform World University in Ojai into a major university surrounded by an ideal society, which could serve as a role model for the country and the world.

 

(Earlier, Benito founded and was first president of a university in Manila, Philippines, which, today, is the biggest university in the entire country.)

Benito's life was dedicated to union with God and service to mankind.

As a teenager, Benito Reyes, was selected by the Theosophical Society as an important world leader similar to how they "discovered" and groomed Jiddu Krishnamurti. Shortly after, Reyes was spiritually adopted by a childless Theosophist couple from Ojai, California, who financed his higher education studies in philosophy and psychology.

 

Benito was a follower of the famous Indian Avatar, Sathya Sai Baba.

 

Sai Baba loved Benito and his family.  Upon the request of Benito, Sai Baba became the Chancellor of World University in Ojai. (This is the only school in America that holds this distinction.)

 

Sai Baba blessed Benito's desire to expand this university and predicted that it would one day grow into all that Benito envisioned.

Benito was a saint, in my opinion.  

 

 

He was extremely refined spiritually.  He was an ideal exemplar of someone who united spirit, mind and body in a balanced way. He was completely dedicated to serving humanity selflessly.

 

His psychic abilities were unusually advanced. He, along with his wife Dominga, had the ability to consciously separate their spirits from their bodies. They often communed with saints and sages from the spiritual realms. He and Dominga trained their childen and grandchildren in these psychic ability.
